BIOGRAPHY
ELIZABETH PISCHEL
Elizabeth Pischel was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin where she studied ballet at Academie De La Danse. As a recipient of the Wisconsin Dance Council scholarship, she moved to North Carolina to continue her training at Charlotte Ballet under the instruction of Patricia McBride and Mark Diamond. As a trainee, she performed in several of the company's ballets, including Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux's The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty, and she was featured in award-winning choreographer Mark Diamond's D'jembe.
Soon after, Elizabeth joined Alonzo King LINES Ballet | Training Program under the direction of Karah Abiog. During that time, she apprenticed with Sidra Bell Dance NY and performed original works by Sidra Bell, Shannon Gillen, Arturo Fernandez, Uri Sands, Maurya Kerr, Erik Wagner, Carmen Rozestraten, Dwight Rhoden, and Gregory Dawson. In addition, she worked with Company Wayne McGregor, Ashley Werhun, and Alonzo King. Elizabeth has also trained with Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Complexions Ballet, and The Russian Classical Ballet Michigan. She also placed third in the contemporary division at Youth American Grand Prix Ballet Competition.
After graduating from the LINES Ballet | Training Program in May of 2017, she joined dawsondancesf under the direction of Gregory Dawson. She was featured in several of Dawson's works including MANGAKU, Intrinsic Motion Project III, Floating in Midair, and RITE 2017. During her two seasons with the company, dawsondancesf performed by commission for Pixar Animation Studios, Zaccho Ariel Dance Theater, Tannery Arts Center, and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
While in San Francisco, Elizabeth began collaborating with photographers including Randall Hobbet, Ron Rothenberg, Devi Pride, and Neil Gandhi to create original dance and movement portraits. Launching herself into the modeling industry, Elizabeth was photographed for promotional images for Swedish Fall, an athletic apparel brand based out of Germany. She was also featured in a new collection of underwater art photography Water Music by Austin Forbord which premiered at DZINE Furniture and Art Gallery in June of 2019. Elizabeth hopes to increase her modeling influence and exposure through campaigns promoting the arts, physicality, and healthy lifestyles.
Elizabeth will be performing with Quixotic Fusion Contemporary Aerial and Circus Arts in October of 2019 in Miami Beach.
Elizabeth is now based in New York City and is open for booking.
